CJX Minerals is a private Congolese company, established in 2014 and specialized in the purchase, processing, and export of tin-group minerals, specifically the 3Ts: coltan (tantalum), cassiterite (tin), and wolframite (tungsten).
Through its technical expertise and mastery of sector regulatory requirements, CJX Minerals has established itself as the largest Congolese exporter of 3T minerals, holding a leading position in the national supply chain.
Recognized as a Category A processing entity, the company operates in strict compliance with the legislation of the Democratic Republic of Congo and in accordance with international standards for responsible supply chains.
CJX Minerals operates in Kindu and Kalemie, with its headquarters established in Kinshasa, ensuring a strategic presence at the heart of the main artisanal production zones.
CJX Minerals' strategy is built on a clear ambition: to sustainably clean up the 3T mineral supply chain in the Democratic Republic of Congo, while consolidating the company's position as the leading national player in the purchase, processing, and export of traceable and legally compliant minerals.
1. Supply Chain Cleanup and Security
CJX Minerals places the fight against illicit mineral trade at the heart of its strategy. The company applies strict mechanisms for control, certification, and due diligence to ensure that every batch of coltan, cassiterite, or wolframite comes from legal, traceable, and conflict-free certified sources. This approach directly contributes to reducing fraud, improving sector governance, and restoring the credibility of the Congolese tin-group industry on international markets.
2. Operational Excellence and Compliance
CJX Minerals develops rigorous procedures to optimize its purchase, processing, and export operations. As a Category A processing entity, the company strictly applies national requirements and international standards, ensuring compliant, controlled, and competitive products.
3. Strategic Partnerships and Sector Professionalization
The company engages alongside artisanal cooperatives, state services, and provincial authorities to encourage best practices, support site formalization, and promote more organized and responsible exploitation. These partnerships are an essential lever in cleaning up the supply chain, enabling the creation of stable and transparent official circuits.
4. National Leadership Consolidation
As the largest exporter in the tin-group industry, CJX Minerals pursues a strategy aimed at strengthening its leadership, particularly through the development of additional capacities, continuous improvement of its internal control systems, and the valorization of its local and national presence.
5. Contribution to National Development
The company aligns all its actions with a logic of economic and social development. Through local value creation, public revenue mobilization, and support for mining communities, CJX Minerals contributes to a lasting positive impact within the territories where it operates.
CJX Minerals exclusively purchases traceable, conflict-free certified minerals that comply with national due diligence requirements. The company applies recognized official control and certification mechanisms, thereby ensuring the legality, transparency, and integrity of all its operations.
This firm commitment positions CJX Minerals among the major players contributing to the cleanup of the tin-group industry and the fight against illicit mineral trade.

Minerals
CJX focuses on conflict-free strategic minerals such as the 3Ts - tin, tungsten and tantalum, from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Tin
Tin (symbol Sn, atomic number 50) is a group 14 metal. Known since antiquity, it was used to make bronze and protect objects from oxidation. Today, it is still used for welding and metal coating. It has several stable isotopes and exists as an oxide (SnO₂) in cassiterite, its main ore. Slightly toxic, tin is solid and metallic at room temperature.
Tungsten
Tungsten (symbol W, atomic number 74) is a rare metal, discovered in 1781 and isolated in 1783. It is found mainly in scheelite and wolframite. Very dense (19.25 g/cm³) and resistant, it has the highest melting point (3,422 °C) and boiling point (5,555 °C) of all elements. Used in light bulbs, X-ray tubes, welding, alloys and projectiles, it also serves as an industrial catalyst. Present in some bacteria, it remains slightly toxic to animals.
Tantalum
Tantalum (symbol Ta, atomic number 73) is a rare, hard and corrosion-resistant metal, blue-gray in color. Belonging to refractory metals, it is used in alloys, laboratory equipment and especially in electronic capacitors (phones, computers, consoles, etc.). Discovered in tantalite, columbite and coltan minerals, it is often associated with niobium. Thanks to its great chemical stability, tantalum is considered a critical technological element.
